In order to make your life a little bit easier there are a few things that you can do while preparing to go.  These travel hacks can be used no matter how you choose to get where you are going.  They can all come in handy.  You will be thankful you took the time to prepare.

Booking

Before you start booking anything online you want to make sure that you start by clearing your browser cache. Booking sites can raise prices if they know you have been there and have been searching for particular trips. My favorite place to use for booking my trips is here.

Pack More in Your Suitcase

This for me is usually the hardest part, but I was recently able to pack for 5 days in a small book bag! So with practice you can definitely make it happen. One of the best things you can do to be able to fit more, and also prevent wrinkles and creases is to roll your clothes.  Also, to save some room roll your socks as small as possible and put them into the insides of your shoes.  Don’t forget to check luggage weight to avoid extra fees when flying.

Have Backups

Always keep backups of any important information that may be needed for your trips.  Take photos and have extra hard copies.  That way if anything unexpected happens you are covered.

Adapters

I definitely recommend buying a multi charger adapter and a foreign plug adapter. Not only will they help you save space because you won’t be lugging around multiple chargers.  They will also be able to be used anywhere you decide to go.

WIFI

One bad thing about traveling internationally is WIFI is usually hard to find.  By looking ahead of time to see if it is available and making sure you can get access to any passwords that may be needed is extremely helpful.  If not you can look into different phone plans that are offered through your cell phone company.  That if you need to get online or in contact with anyone you know you can do so easily.

Credit Cards

If you are going out of the country or far from home.  You will want to make sure you call your credit card company and let them know.  This will prevent them from thinking your card has been stolen, and they won’t freeze your account.

By following these simple hacks you can ensure that you will have a safer and easier time traveling!
